This 135-Foot Superyacht’s Primary Suite Looks Like a Futuristic Hunter’s Lodge
- Dynamiq Yachts, a Monaco-based builder, is known for its semi-custom yacht designs, including the GTT 115 and GTT 170, with a line now expanded to eight models, including expedition yachts up to 180 feet.
Dynamiq Yachts is a small, Monaco-based builder known for its forward-looking, sometimes over-the-top, semi-custom designs. In 2014, the company distinguished itself from other start-ups with an online "configurator" that let potential buyers price their boats. The first designs were by owner Sergei Dobroserdov, considered a top designer before founding the company, ranging from the GTT 115 to the GTT 170.
Over a decade later, its line has expanded to eight models, including the four-vessel G series of expedition yachts up to 180 feet. Dynamiq also builds custom yachts besides its semi-custom line at a facility in Antalya, Turkey.

The Mark Berryman salon for the G450 incorporates soft, muted colors, and natural materials for a calming effect.
The company signaled its ready to take another step forward last week by collaborating with three independent design studios from the U.K. and Italy. They presented four new interiors for existing Dynamiq models, as well as a new exterior that gives a dramatic facelift to its Global 450 platform.
U.K. designer Mark Berryman led the pack with three interiors for the GTT 135, a shallow-draft yacht that Dynamiq associates with islands in the Med and Bahamas, and two interiors for the long-distance Global 450 and Global 550 explorer vessels. While different from each other, the interiors all employed Berryman's trademark use of natural materials, muted colors and treatments to create a relaxed, calming environment. (Berryman has also used this with private-jet interior projects.)
The office in the owner's suite is a very different take by Berryman.
The new interior design for the GTT 135 paired soft neutral tones with warm oak, stone flooring, and woven seagrass wall panels, with bamboo across the owner's suite. The designer also used bamboo in the Global 450, but it carried a very different look beside the hand-finished stone, matte leather accents and natural fabrics. On the expedition Global 550, Berryman's interior concept for a liveaboard, long-distance yacht featured materials such as smoked oak, seagrass wrap, and honed marble anchor, with hand-finished timber elements. The owner's suite features a dressing room with leather-wrapped cabinetry, a marble en suite, and an office with bronze accents, textured lacquer, and open-grain oak.
Italian studio H2 Yacht Design went in a very different direction with its interior for the GTT 180 Heritage, an all-new design that will debut at the Monaco Yacht Show. The 180-footer is designed for an American client, with a salon that combines light oak, cream upholstery and textured carpets with accents such as shagreen leather, gold-inlaid agate, and calacatta gold marble.
H2 Yacht Design's lighter, brighter interior for the GTT 180 Heritage is very different from the Berryman concepts above.
Bronze details, inspired by the automotive world, are included throughout. H2 took a different tack with the owner's stateroom, combining onyx, woven leather, Macassar, and wave lacquer finishes with pleated bronze sconces.
U.K. studio Sturge & Toth created an entirely new exterior concept for Dynamiq's existing Global 450 platform. During their presentation in Monaco, designers Toby Sturge and Ben Julian Toth showed several iterations they created on their way to the "family-friendly" platform.
U.K. designer Sturge & Toth created a new exterior for Dynamiq's existing Global 450 platform.
They experimented with both classical and contemporary elements before reaching the final design. It includes a symmetrical double-balcony primary suite, a protected stern, convertible pool area, and a whale-watching lounge at the bow.
These fresh designs represent a step forward for Dynamiq, which has until now relied on Dobroserdov's work, and could give the brand a nice lift as it moves into the fall boat-show season.
