This $60 Million Glass House Is Jackson Hole’s Most Expensive Listing
- The River House, a stunning glass-covered mansion in Jackson Hole, is now the most expensive listing in the area at $60 million.
A gorgeous glass-covered mansion just became the most expensive listing in Jackson Hole.
Set on 36 acres in Wilson, the aptly named River House offers prime Snake River frontage and sweeping views of Grand Teton. Local architect Wallace Cunningham completed the six-bedroom abode in 2023 for cardiologist Gerald Dorros. The doctor built his dream home on the plot after purchasing it in 1997, but that original structure sadly burned down in 2017. Determined to stay put, he tapped Cunningham a year later to rebuild on the land. The resulting crescent-shaped abode is now available for $60 million through Spackmans & Associates of Jackson Hole Sotheby's International Realty.

Soaring ceilings, a two-sided fireplace, and expansive glass walls highlight the great room.
Dorros has only lived in the River House for two years, but has decided he is ready for a change. The 83-year-old told Bloomberg that he feels it is the right time to move on to another property, more specifically, a pad he owns in Scottsdale, Arizona. As a result, the River House, described as a "living sculpture" by the folks at Sotheby's, has hit the market. The agents say that it is the priciest property for sale in the renowned resort town, comfortably surpassing the 69-acre Antelope Trails Ranch that previously sat in the top spot with an asking price of $47 million.
Dorros gave Cunningham a virtually unlimited budget, instructing the architect to "Just go for it" with the project. "I said, 'I want your best shot, I want it to be open, airy and modern without being stark and monastic," Dorros told Bloomberg. It's clear Cunningham fulfilled the brief. The 8,583-square-foot River House features soaring glass walls and a larger-than-life interior, but amazingly, it still seems liveable and cozy.
A glass corridor blurs the lines of the indoor and outdoor settings at the property.
Curvy stone paths lined with sculptures and art lead to a striking glass facade that blurs the indoors and outdoors. Past the foyer, a dual-sided fireplace separates the dining and living areas of the great room, where guests can soak in views of the incredible natural landscape. Glass corridors lead in and out of other key rooms, such as the kitchen with a crescent-shaped island, the formal dining room with skylights, and the living room with ample shelving for tomes.

Elsewhere, the primary suite offers panoramic vistas of the grounds, as well as access to a massive en suite with a stone soaking tub and epic mountain views. Private bathrooms are featured in the other five bedrooms, too, which are located in the home's south wing. Other highlights include a second office, a wine storage room, and a three-car garage—all of which are positioned on the lower level.
Homeowners get Teton Mountain Range views from the primary en-suite's soaking tub.
The River House comes with access to Bridger-Teton National Forest, making it a great option for nature buffs. It is also part of the Crescent H Ranch, meaning you have access to fantastic riding trails and ski runs. To top it off, the Snake River and other private creeks on the property allow for exclusive fishing expeditions. Downtown Jackson is also only a stone's throw away, so it's easy to visit the local shops, restaurants, art galleries, and mountain resorts—if you ever want to leave the River House, that is.
