Burger King Launches New Maple Bacon Menu Items: What to Expect
- Burger King is set to introduce a Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper featuring a quarter-pound beef patty, maple bourbon BBQ sauce, crispy onions, jalapenos, maple candied bacon, and American cheese on a sesame seed bun.
If your favorite flavor combination is sweet and savory, then Burger King’s new menu is your dream come true.
Parade can confirm that the popular fast food chain is planning to roll out some new items, including a Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper, that fans can’t wait to try.

Beginning February 24, Burger King locations will offer the sweet and savory burger for a limited time. It features a quarter-pound flame-grilled beef patty topped with maple bourbon BBQ sauce. Crispy onions and jalapeños, smoky maple candied bacon , and American cheese complete the burger, which is nestled on a toasted sesame seed bun.
Food blogger markie_devo took to Instagram in January with rumors of the launch, writing, “Burger King previously asked fans to vote on their favorite Whopper during the Million Dollar Whopper contest. The Whopper that won the contest is the Maple Bourbon BBQ,” and subsequently describing the burger.

Fans quickly jumped into the comments to praise the launch, writing that they are “here for the whopper,” and declaring it to be “Oh great big back time.”
“Sounds fire, nothing hits like a fresh whopper,” said a third fan.
“I'm so sick of BBQ themed burger, but I can't lie, it was the best of the 3 last year, and I thought it was going to be my least favorite,” said a fan, referencing the Whopper by You program, which gave Burger King fans the chance to design their dream burger.

The Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper follows on the heels of the Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper earlier this year, as well as the BBQ Brisket Whopper and the Crispy Onion Whoppers, which graced menus last year.
Breakfast is also getting in on the action with two new items that feature candied maple bacon, a Croissan'wich and a Burrito Jr. The Double Candied Maple Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Croissan'wich features a double portion of crispy candied maple bacon, fluffy egg, and American cheese on a croissant, while the Candied Maple Bacon Burrito Jr. features four half-strips of crispy candied maple bacon, hash browns, fluffy egg, and American cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla .
