Check out the Suffield Fire Department open house this Sunday

The Suffield Firefighter's Association will present the Suffield Fire Department's annual open house on Sunday, Oct. 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The fire department is at 1256 Waterloo Road, just west of state Route 43.

The event will include:

• Fire truck rides

• Fire/EMS demonstrations

• A landing by University Hospitals; helicopter.

• Free food (Duma's Burger Truck, chips and drinks)

• Free Sno Cones and popcorn

• A demonstration of cutting a car with hydraulic tools.

• Firefighter Combat Challenge

• Dunk tank

• Flu and COVID shots in the community room from the Portage County Health District.

• Fire station tours

• Door prizes

• Suffield Fire Department breast cancer shirts available for purchase.
