Chipotle just made a bag big enough for the whole family — and then some

If you're ordering Chipotle 's meal options for the entire family, the chain has a convenient way for you to carry them all.

The Mexican grill chain recently dropped its " Big [expletive] Chipotle Bag ."

The limited-edition extra-large version of its signature to-go bags launched Oct. 13 and is available to U.S. Chipotle Rewards members who purchase a family meal through the Chipotle app or Chipotle.com .

Those customers will then be automatically entered for a chance to win one of the extra-large bags, which will be offered through a multi-week digital sweepstakes.

The comically oversized replica of the brown paper bag has a 170-liter capacity and is 36 inches wide, 24 inches tall, and 12 inches deep.

For Chipotle and the fans alike, it's a big [expletive] deal.

To put the size of the bag in perspective, there's enough room in it for things like a traffic cone, a trumpet or even a desk chair.

"A Big [expletive] Meal deserves a Big [expletive] Bag," Fernando Machado, Chief Brand Officer at Chipotle, said in a statement . "We took one of the most recognizable parts of the Chipotle experience, gave it an outsized upgrade, and created something that's impossible to miss. It's fun, it's ridiculous, and it's exactly the kind of thing we knew our fans would want to get their hands on."

The chain's new bag will be featured in a new national commercial by GUT, Complex reported.

"The fun of this idea is how little explaining it needs," Ricky Casal, Chief Creative Officer at GUT Miami, added in a statement. "You see this ridiculously oversized Chipotle bag and immediately get the joke. We leaned into that simplicity, treating it like a luxury object and letting the scale do the storytelling."

The big idea is part of the company's advertisement for Chipotle's Family Meals. Previously known as Build-Your-Own Chipotle, the online order is meant for four to six people and comes with enough ingredients for everyone to have whatever they want for dinner—whether it's tacos, salads, bowls, nachos—or a combination of those varieties, according to a press release .
