Costco Just Changed Its $1.50 Hot Dog Combo for the First Time in 40 Years
Good news for those who aren't fans of soda.
Some shoppers have noticed that Costco recently made a change to its iconic hot dog combo.
Don't worry, it's not the price. It's still just $1.50, as it has been since 1985.
But now, in addition to enjoying a 20-ounce refillable fountain soda with the quarter-pound all-beef frank, you can grab a hot dog and water from the Costco food court.
So if you're not a fan of soda or Coca-Cola products, you can opt for a 16.9-ounce bottle of Kirkland Signature water instead. And while you've always been able to fill up a cup with water from the soda fountain, many customers prefer a water bottle with a cap when they're on the go.
It's unclear where and when this new combo will be offered across all Costco locations. Some shoppers in states such as California, Nevada, and Virginia have reported seeing the new option in a Reddit thread for a while now.
And if you're looking for something sweet, Costco just introduced a new limited-time item treat to its food court menu—the Caramel Churro Sundae . It features the wholesaler's popular soft serve (you can choose from vanilla, chocolate, or swirl) topped with a salted caramel sauce and crunchy churro bites .
