Golden Retriever's Evening Zoomies Are Pure Hyped Kid Energy
I don't know what it is with kids and pets, but once we reach the inevitable "golden hour" each evening, everyone kind of loses their minds. It's almost like everyone comes together to plot a whole house takeover. There's nothing we can do except let that burst of energy run its course, however long that takes.
Zebby the Golden Retriever is a regular connoisseur of zoomies throughout the daytime, but his pre-bed zoomies are something else!
Captioned, "I fear I may never know peace in the evenings due to the decisions I have made," I feel this post deep in my gut as I watch my own pups sprint in circles, like they're trying out for the 800m dash.
Zebby can't exactly control his zoomies —it's something dogs get, and they're finished as quickly as they come. Plus, they're freakin' adorable! They become joy personified, if only for the countdown of 12 seconds.
Then, once it's passed (in pets and kids!), they're so exhausted, you can count on them passing right out . I guess you could say it's melatonin for the soul.
Zebby is just a Golden Retriever living his best Golden Retriever life, and sudden zoomies are a part of that (and we thank him all the more for it!).
