Upon request, we can all name our favorite fast food restaurants within seconds. There's no denying your personal cravings—but a few things can come between you and that hot, juicy burger. Chief among them? Customer service. One foul experience is all it takes to kill the vibe of your go-to spot.
This week, a new poll reveals which fast food restaurants fans voted as their top picks across the United States—and the results just might surprise you.

According to crypto exchange site Chicksx.com , millions of reviews on TipAdvisor were analyzed across 240 restaurant brands. Of them all, Missouri-based Andy's Frozen Custard stole the show—earning the top spot with 85 locations across 14 states. Coming in second and third place, respectively, were Great Harvest Bread Company and The Melting Pot.
So where are the iconic brands like McDonald's , Burger King and KFC ? Ironically, the chains with the largest nationwide footprints ranked among the worst in the country. KFC landed in dead last, earning the lowest customer service score of any restaurant in the poll—a shocking 2.89 out of 5. McDonald's, Burger King, Church's and Long John Silver's rounded out the bottom five.

One customer who visited a KFC in Manhattan's Midtown neighborhood had this to say: "The food was so nasty. It was dry. They took too long to take my order … some of the machines aren't even working." They went on to call it "one of the few disappointments of my New York holiday."
And in reference to a nearby Burger King, another reviewer wrote: "It took 15 minutes before we received our order and the burgers were all covered with ketchup. Don't waste your money here."
Though these kinds of reviews are familiar to anyone who's visited fast food spots, even more major chains made the bottom ten. Taco Bell, Wendy's, Hardee's and Pizza Hut all landed in this part of the ranking.
On the flip side, shining a spotlight on the perks of smaller, local fast-casual spots, New York City's Mediterranean-inspired chain Cava ranked highest among NYC fast food restaurants, earning an impressive average score of 4.55 out of 5. To qualify, restaurants needed at least 150 reviews on the travel site.
