What to know about the Dayton's Holiday Market, including a Mary Tyler Moore-themed Santabear
The Dayton's Holiday Market is returning for a sixth year at the historic Dayton's building in downtown Minneapolis .
In 2026, the annual event will host more than 100 local makers and vendors beginning on Nov. 12.
"This year, we'll have dozens of hardworking local businesses showcasing and selling their products during the six-week holiday season, bringing thousands of visitors to our beautiful downtown Minneapolis to experience the festive season," says curator and founder Mich Berthiaume of Mich's Markets.
The vendor lineup includes returning favorites, as well as a handful of new arrivals like Christopher Straub, Grandma Skills, Kats Ceramics, and Millie's Farmyard Bakery.
It's also once again partnering with Jester Concepts to bring in grub from some of its restaurants, such as Parlour and the newly reopened Revival . Additionally, the Jester team will revive recipes from iconic, long-gone restaurants Dayton's Oak Grill and Nankin Cafe.
It will also continue the long-running, nostalgic Santabear tradition that began at Dayton's. In 2026, Shop in the City has designed a new Santabear as well as a Mary Tyler Moore-themed version.
Both are available beginning on Black Friday , with the traditional ones priced at $69.95 for the original Dayton's-sized bear or $49.95 for a smaller version. The Mary Tyler Moore edition costs $129, and 10% of the proceeds will be donated to the Mary Tyler Moore Vision Initiative.
