Korean Coffee Chain With 1,750 Locations Is Coming to the U.S. for the First Time

In an era where K-pop music has taken the world by storm, a certain coffee giant hailing from South Korea is now making its way over to the U.S.

Twosome Place, the Asian country's leading premium café brand, has just announced plans to open its first location in Alexandria, Virginia.

Since opening its first café in Seoul in 2002, Twosome Place has grown to more than 1,750 locations, according to a recent news release , building a café experience around the pairing of specialty coffee and cake.

"Our debut in the Washington region is an important milestone for Twosome Place as we look ahead to future growth in the U.S.," Jay (Young Joo) Moon, CEO of Twosome Place Korea, said in a statement shared on Thursday. "We're excited to introduce American consumers to the café culture we've built over the past two decades, one centered on quality, hospitality, and creating a place where guests can gather over exceptional coffee and cake."

The first U.S. café will offer an assorted menu, featuring Twosome Place's signature cakes, available both whole and by the slice, including the iconic Strawberry Chocolate Cream Cake and the bestselling Ice Box Cake.

Alongside classic espresso beverages, Twosome Place will introduce Korean-inspired items developed specifically for the U.S. market, including handcrafted beverages such as the famed Black Sesame Latte and Korean Apple Cinnamon Tea.

The all-day menu offered by the restaurant, which is expected to open in mid-October, will feature:

• K-Toast with Bulgogi and egg

• K-Chicken Panini

• Bibimbowl

More details regarding opening celebrations will be announced in the coming weeks. Additional U.S. locations are planned as Twosome Place continues its expansion, with two locations set to open soon.
