  • 60 Curzon, an exclusive new Mayfair development, is offering a luxurious midcentury modern-inspired duplex by De Rosee Sa studio for roughly $25 million (£18.5 million).

Once home to the Mirabelle—a legendary London restaurant that welcomed the likes of Elizabeth Taylor and JFK Jr.— 60 Curzon is once again turning heads. That is because the exclusive new Mayfair development is offering up a midcentury modern-inspired duplex by De Rosee Sa studio.

The luxurious 4,550-square-foot apartment, which is on the market for roughly $25 million (£18.5 million) with Knight Frank and Savills, blends contemporary style with old-world charm. The acclaimed London and Lisbon-based studio drew inspiration from Mirabelle's golden age, creating a home that's elegant, expressive, and unequivocally unique. The double-height reception room and its gorgeous grand piano add a touch of drama to the living quarters while Philip Jeffries wallpaper and curated vintage furnishings bring warmth and personality to every corner.

The double-height reception room is anchored by a grand piano.

"For us, it's about more than just aesthetics; it's about crafting an environment that feels authentic, layered, and adaptable to modern life," said De Rosee Sa cofounder Claire Sá. "We were inspired by places like Mirabelle—not just for their beauty, but for their ambiance. We wanted to evoke that same immersive experience, where every detail contributes to a feeling, not just a look."

The three-bedroom duplex is also one of just three residences in the building with access to a private, English woodland-inspired communal garden. Landscaped by Gustafson Porter + Bowman, the rare slice of green space in the heart of central London not only acts as a leafy oasis but can also be appreciated through the home's grand windows.

Adding to the apartment's cachet is the fact that the original interiors are the handiwork of the late Thierry W. Despont. (The legendary French architect is known for his work at Claridge's, the Ritz Paris, and The Carlyle in New York) In fact, 60 Curzon was Despont's first and only residential project in Europe.

The English-style kitchen showcases cerulean cabinets and marble surfaces.

Inside, De Rosee Sa decided to juxtapose soft color palettes—think cerulean, dusty pink, and deep red—with tactile finishes such as rattan, marble, and velvet. The kitchen and adjoining media room are a celebration of English craftsmanship, while each of the upstairs bedrooms is brimming with distinctive art. The interior is also adorned with chic bespoke furnishings and commissioned works from contemporary artists, including Jon Harvey and Kim Bartelt.

"We are excited to unveil the third residence in our curated series of designer-led homes, a truly exceptional apartment by De Rosee Sa," adds 60 Curzon director Charles Leigh. "This duplex apartment stands out with its rare combination of soaring double-height ceilings and 1,185 square feet of leafy outdoor space, delivering a sense of grandeur and openness."

And for those who value lifestyle as much as design? Residents of 60 Curzon enjoy access to hotel-style amenities: a private pool, spa, gym, club lounge, and temperature-controlled storage for wines, whiskies, and cigars. What else do you need?
