It's an age-old tale: wanting something you can't have. When it comes to fast-food chains, that feeling hits especially hard with regional menus. There's nothing quite like craving a favorite item only to find out it's exclusive to a far-off location.

And don't even get us started on international menus. They're full of eye-catching, unique creations that tease fans who just wish those flavors would make their way to the States.

Which brings us to McDonald's Hawaiian menu—technically not international for us, but absolutely one of those tantalizing regional treasures that's finally getting some well-deserved spotlight.

McDonald's Hawaiian Menu," @snackbetch recently revealed on Instagram. "These are specially available in Hawaii (not all locations)," they continued. "Personally I think McDonald's should bring these all to the rest of the USA — who agrees?!"

The lineup, simple yet impactful, includes the following: 

• McTeri Deluxe- a juicy burger with teriyaki-glazed beef, fresh lettuce and tomato

• Local Deluxe Breakfast Platter- a hearty plate with scrambled eggs, rice, Spam and Portuguese Sausage

• Fried Apple Pie

• Fried Taro Pie

• Fried Coconut (Haupia Pie)

"I would love to try the breakfast platter," one viewer commented on the post. "looks like a protein conscious plate," another responded. As a local Hawaiian native who has enjoyed this delicious menu for years, a third person added, "The Teri burger is fire."

At this point, the fried apple pie alone has us checking for discount flights to Hawaii. If we book fast, maybe we can sneak in a quick trip this month and totally blow our summer travel budget. Totally worth it? That's still up for debate.
