Michigan Woman Wins Record-Breaking Lottery During Her Lunch Break: ‘I’ve Hardly Slept Since!’
- Michigan woman Sue Strong won a record-breaking $822,159 jackpot by playing Club Keno and adding "The Jack" to her ticket during her lunch break.

The 65-year-old Michigan woman took home a record-breaking jackpot after stopping to buy a lottery ticket on her lunch break.
Strong purchased a Club Keno ticket and paid an extra $1 for "The Jack" add-on.
"I regularly play Club Keno, and I always add The Jack to my ticket," Strong said after winning big, according to a Monday, February 27, news release from the Michigan Lottery . "I went out and bought a Club Keno ticket and pizza on my lunch break and then watched the drawings on my phone while I ate."
Strong matched her easy pick "The Jack" numbers – 10-26-33-50-56-58-60-67-70 – to nine of the 20 Club Keno numbers drawn, the news release explained.
"When I saw all my The Jack numbers come in and the jackpot reset to $10,000, I was shocked! It was nerve-wracking and exciting, and to be honest, I've hardly slept since!" she added.
Her $822,159 winnings marks the largest ever won on the Club Keno game, breaking the previous record, which was won in March 2025, by nearly $150,000.
Strong plans to share earnings with family, pay bills, and save whatever is left over.
