North Node of Destiny Enters Aquarius for the First Time in 19 Years and 3 Zodiac Signs Are Pushed to Take a Stand

On July 26, we step into a new era that will change our lives in many ways. The karmic North Node of Destiny enters Aquarius, aligning our fate with innovation, technology and humanitarian causes. At the same time, the South Node of Destiny moves into Leo , asking us to let go of our egos and the need to be the center of attention.

If you're wondering what the Nodes of Destiny are, the simplest way to understand them is that they mark the lunar axis, showing where the moon's and Earth's paths cross as they journey around the Sun. Astrologically, the North Node points us toward what we are attracting, while the South Node focuses on what we are releasing. They are always in "sister signs," which are opposite and at the same degree.

These North and South Nodes are pivotal in understanding such information. The North Node pushes us to the present and future, while the South Node recognizes the sentiments we are evolving and letting go of from our former lives. They show our destiny from the past and in this lifetime. Every 1.5 years, they change signs and return to where they were at birth in approximately 18 to 19 years.

Approximately every 18 months, they shift backward into the previous sign. Letting go of the past can be tough because it's our comfort zone. Moving into new territory makes us uncomfortable because change can be scary. Eclipses often push us to make moves when the Earth and Moon pass through the other's shadow. 

The last time that the North Node was in Aquarius was from Dec. 19, 2007 to Aug. 21, 2009, meaning that themes that arose at that point will be directly reachable now. This current nodal shift will end on March 26, 2028.
