What is Numerology?

Numerology is the occult study and belief that each number has a uniquely divine meaning. This isn't a standalone practice as numerology can be applied to astrology , tarot, witchcraft, and other forms of divination. Numerology primarily focuses on root numbers, which range from 0 to 9. Each root number carries a specific vibration that can be used to predict numerous things, such as the energy of a name or what may happen on a specific date.

Knowing the keywords for the root numbers can help you understand the deeper meaning behind everything. Here's what each root number means, according to numerology:

• 0: Fresh start, infinity, potential

• 1: Leadership, initiation, new beginning

• 2: Emotional balance, connection, diplomacy

• 3: Creativity, curiosity, communication

• 4: Practicality, dependability, earthly pleasure

• 5: Change, revolution, freedom

• 6: Service, compassion, relationships

• 7: Karmic lessons, mysticism, introspection

• 8: Abundance, reciprocity, ambition

• 9: Fated ending, completion, wisdom

Almost anything can be reduced to a root number, including numbers with more than two digits. Similarly, a combination of three or four-digit numbers also holds meaning. These are known as angel numbers , and they are relatively commonplace once you notice them. For example, you may have seen angel number 1111 when you've spied 11:11 on the clock. No matter if you're looking for one specific root number or an angel number, numerology is all around you.

What's the Numerology of 2026, and What Does It Mean?

Determining the numerology of 2026 begins by adding the individual digits of the year together until 2026 becomes a single root number. Thankfully, this is pretty simple math that anyone can do. First, add the individual digits of 2026 together: 2 + 2 + 0 + 6 = 10. Then add the individual digits of 10 together: 10 + 1 = 1. Given that there's nothing left to reduce, you can assume that the root number of 2026 is 1.

Since the root number of 2026 is 1, this year is officially hailed as Year 1. In other words, 2026 embodies the energy of the number one in numerology. At quick glance, the keyword above suggests that 2026 is a year focused on leadership , initiation, and new beginnings. There's so much more to it, since Year 1 requires courage, bravery, and confidence for anything new to begin. A Year 1 could change your life , but you have to be ready to charge into the unknown. Starting something from the ground up won't be easy if you don't have the right attitude. Go into a Year 1 with a strong sense of self-certainty and open-mindedness as you take the lead with your next chapter.

Aside from being a Year 1, 2026 is also a Universal year. A Universal year doesn't focus on any specific zodiac signs , birth months , or life path numbers. Everyone is affected during a Universal year. Although a Universal year is fair game, the energy of a Universal Year 1 will more likely favor entrepreneurs, initiators, and go-getters. If taking charge doesn't come naturally, then the Universal Year 1 will be emboldening. Everyone will feel the call to arms eventually, but some may get started sooner rather than later. Just know that a Universal Year 1 will be more inclined to help those who are willing to fail to succeed, so don't hold yourself back for long, or you may miss out.

How to Manifest During a Universal Year 1

The new year always brings infinite possibilities. Romance, prosperity, travel, and so much more may find you in 2026. Anything is truly possible during the Universal Year 1 if you're willing to get started. The number one in numerology aligns with independence and leadership, so a Universal Year 1 will have an encouraging undertone. Consider this the nudge you may have been waiting for to take a leap of faith.

A Universal Year 1 instills the belief that whatever you manifest has a high chance of materializing. However, you have to be ready to put in a little bit of work since a Universal Year 1 favors go-getters and initiators. Taking the lead with your manifestations will go a long way. For example, you may need to complete a job application for a highly sought-after position or go out on a first date aligned with your romantic desires to kickstart your manifestation process. It might be a little scary to take that first step, but your bravery will be rewarded throughout 2026.

Being action-oriented is a key part of manifesting, but it can be helpful to have some direction. Organizing your manifestations can help streamline your journey in 2026. You may feel called to create a thoughtful vision board , visualize your journey while meditating, or set goals to complete throughout the year. There's an independent energy around one in numerology, so it might be best to keep your plans under wraps until they're underway. Regardless of how you get organized, you ought to spend some time heavily considering what may go into your manifestations before jumping the gun. You won't regret entering a Universal Year 1 with a clear vision of what you will accomplish on your own accord.
