People Are Revealing The Unfair Gender Privileges That Make Them Extremely Jealous, And It's Shocking
As a woman, there are so many things men get to do that are wildly unfair — but honestly, I've never thought about it the other way around, and it's fascinating to think about.
So, user Exhausted_Skeleton on Reddit asked , "What does the opposite gender get to do that makes you jealous?" and the responses are actually pretty surprising. Read the responses to see what each gender is envious of:
1. "Women can be around kids without being suspected of being a creep. I get it, and I think it's better to be safe, but it just makes me sad. Kids are the best, and I like being around them."
2. "When Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer, she is called 'edgy' and 'artistic.' When I do it, I'm called 'drunk' and get banned from Home Depot."
3. "Perceptions around body hair bother me. How is it 'unhygienic' for women to have their natural body hair, but men can have armpit hair you can braid and that’s normalized? I want to be Chewbacca too. I know people will say, 'Well, who is telling you to shave?' Babes, everyone."

4. "This lady did a hit-and-run on me and said, 'I didn't know I hit somebody.' She just got a teensy-weensy ticket, just a slap on the wrist. I would have been shot a thousand times and gone to jail for life."
5. "Men are able to feel safe as the default, instead of being in a state of avoiding, preventing or surviving danger. Women have so many rules, limits, hoops, and preventative measures — it's exhausting."
6. "I am extremely jealous that most medical information and medicinal products are formulated based on the male body, and average male dimensions."
7. "I'm a gay male. Don't hate me for saying this, but I'm super jealous of women who are able or want to get pregnant. It is something I'll never experience. I've always wanted a child of my own, and I may never get that opportunity, even through adoption or other circumstances. I know the experience comes with challenges, a lot of pain, and in many cases, heartache. I know pregnancy can be difficult, but I also think it's beautiful — and the reward is creating a person you can be close to, if you choose."
8. "Men get to pee while standing up in a wider range of locations."
– TBeIRIE
9. "Women take care of each other's mental well-being better. If you need someone to talk to as a girl, you have girlfriends, female relatives, or even a random female stranger sometimes. The number of times my wife has comforted a complete stranger having a bad day is incredible. Men, not so much. We need to do a better job of taking care of each other. No, it doesn't make you gay. Take care of your friends."

10. "I am jealous that men's fertility window doesn't close at a certain age, whereas women have a biological clock."
11. "People usually care when women are struggling. It gets old quickly when even asking for help gets me judged by both men and women. I've even had someone ghost me because they thought I was going to ask for support. Ever try being a man and breaking down and crying in public? People treat you with caution and fear, not compassion."
12. "I'm jealous that men have pants with deep pockets."
13. "Women are able to wear open-toed shoes in the office. They won't let me wear my Birkenstocks, but Stephanie in marketing can wear open-toed pumps all day."

14. "There's an old saying: 'Men get respect but not attention, while woman get attention but not respect.'"
15. "It's socially acceptable (at least where I'm from) for women to cuddle and be affectionate with their friends. It's not socially acceptable for men to do that, or for people to do that unless they're in a relationship. Having been out of a relationship for a while, I've often wanted a mutual, friendly, non-****** cuddle just for human contact. It sucks not being able to ask for that from my friends."
16. "Men don't have to have periods, pregnancies or childbirth — not to mention menopause."
17. "Women can give compliments without looking like a creep, or making people think they have an ulterior motive."
18. "Men can go shirtless in public."
– tazztsim
19. "Women can have multiple orgasms without a refractory period."
20. "Women have far more clothing options than men."

22. "Men are naturally stronger and able to develop muscle more quickly."
23. "I'm the token 'gay guy friend' in an all-girl friend group, and I'm so jealous of women going to the bathroom together."
24. "I am jealous of general feminine things — cute clothes, dresses, hair, makeup, and nails. I told my wife I was thinking about getting a manicure and pedicure, and she looked at me like I insulted her entire family."
25. "Women can be stay-at-home moms. I know it happens for men too, but gender stereotypes and society make it more difficult."
26. "I wish it were more acceptable for men to wear appropriate summer attire in a corporate setting. This probably applies to education, too, but it's been a while since I've been in school, so that may have changed."
