These Pet Parents Sought Out to Find Their Golden Retriever's First Stuffie, and the Video Will Have You in Tears

When Pacha the Golden Retriever was just a puppy, her best friend was a small yellow octopus plushie. As sweet as she is, Pacha treated her plushie as a true source of comfort, which sparked her love of octopuses. Now that she's older, Pacha has long outgrown her yellow plush, and it's time for a new one.
Although Pacha has plenty of toys, none compare to her yellow octopus stuffie. Despite attempts to bribe her with octopus stuffies in other colors, her pet parents never stopped looking for a similar option to give her a yellow friend again. Thankfully, Pacha's humans came across a perfect clone, and the reunion between Pacha and her old friend is nothing short of emotional.

"Precious Baby! I'm Glad She Found a New Yellow Cctopus Friend."
As Pacha grew up, her yellow octopus plushie was no longer a viable toy option. Despite her humans' numerous attempts to gift her octopus plushies in other hues, Pacha never really got over her yellow stuffie.
Around the same time, Pacha also met a real octopus, though her history with the animal is a little somber—unfortunately for this golden retriever, her first encounter with the real thing was with one that had already died.

A Five-Hour Round Trip for an Old Friend

A few years later, Pacha's dad stumbled across a similar option at IKEA that looked like an exact clone of her earlier stuffie. After hopping on a ferry and driving close to 100 miles, Pacha's humans headed to the retailer in search of the now-legendary yellow stuffie. There, the pair found a bin of yellow octopus plushies—much larger ones that seemed to have grown, just like Pacha.
After a five-hour trip back, the couple wasted no time reintroducing Pacha to the yellow stuffie. Almost like meeting an old friend, Pacha couldn't wait to hold the stuffie in her mouth and sit with it, excited. While Pacha hasn't met a live octopus again, this yellow stuffie more than makes up for it.
The sweet moment stirred up plenty of emotion in the comments, with some viewers even suggesting where to find the brand behind Pacha's original stuffie.
"Precious baby! I'm glad she found a new yellow octopus friend," one user wrote.
Another commented, "The original one was an OctoPlush, for anyone looking for it. It's reversible, so you can tell people your emotions without telling them."
"Dogs actually only see in yellows and blues, so it makes sense why she liked it so much! It stood out and was super bright in her world!" a third person suggested.
Whatever the reason for Pacha's affinity for octopuses, this sweet moment reminds us how gentle and caring our furry friends can be.
