This Signature Cancun Hotel Zone All-Inclusive Resort Will Reopen After Nearly a Year

For years, Paradisus Cancún has been one of the most recognizable resorts on the strip—and for the past year, one of the quietest.
That's about to change. After nearly a year closed, Paradisus Cancún is officially reopening on April 1, 2026, following a renovation backed by an investment of more than $50 million. The timing is deliberate: just ahead of Easter travel, when Cancún reliably fills up with spring breakers, families and sun-seekers looking for an easy win.
What didn't change is the thing longtime guests worried about most. The pyramids are staying. The resort's stepped, atrium-style design—sunlight pouring down through vines and glass ceilings—remains intact. Instead of tearing the place down, the renovation focused on the parts guests actually use. Rooms were fully updated to improve layout, comfort and technology. Public areas and gardens were refreshed, not reinvented. The goal is a resort that feels familiar when you arrive, but noticeably more comfortable once you settle in.

The biggest addition is something new for Cancún regulars: an adults-only Reserve wing. It's essentially a quieter section within the larger resort, with upgraded accommodations and dedicated areas for guests who want a little separation without giving up the scale and amenities of an all-inclusive. It's a familiar idea elsewhere in the Caribbean, but new for this property—and a sign of how competitive Cancún's resort scene has become.
The basics still hold. All-inclusive dining, multiple pools spread across the property and direct access to one of the Hotel Zone's more swimmable beaches. On one side, bright turquoise water and wide sand. On the other, calm lagoon views and sunsets that feel worlds away from the busiest stretches of the strip.

Paradisus Cancún sits in a prime, central location and its return adds a refreshed, recognizable option at a time when prices across the region continue to climb. Early rates are expected to start around $325 per night, with the Reserve wing coming in higher.
