Starbucks Reveals New Spring Menu: Ube Drinks, Chai Update, and Adorable Frog Cake Pop

As a majority of those on the East Coast spend today digging themselves out of the weekend's massive snow and ice storm, the international coffee giant decided what better time than now to give fans something to look forward to: a reminder that sunny, longer days and spring blooms are on the way, with a preview of its upcoming food and drink menu.
Heading to Starbucks menus nationwide in just a few weeks are an all-new "adorable" cake pop, a new chai recipe, new ube and coconut drink flavors, and an extended lavender lineup.

Starting with what's changing, Starbucks confirmed it updated its chai tea recipe, though it suggests it won't taste noticeably different unless customers want it to. It will now feature a premium blend of black tea and warming spices, including cinnamon , clove, cardamom, and ginger. The new recipe is "more customizable," according to an official statement, allowing consumers to adjust the level of sweetness, spice and overall flavor.

It's also debuting a new Iced Lavender Cream Chai this spring, combining two uber-popular Starbucks flavors into one bright, spicy beverage.

Speaking of lavender, several other menu favorites will also be returning as part of Starbucks' seasonal spring offers, including its Iced Lavender Cream Matcha, Iced Lavender Latte and Lavender Crème Frappuccino Blended Beverage—and fans are stoked.

"Im so happy lavender is back!" one fan wrote via Instagram, adding that the "lavender matcha is my favorite thing in the world."

Should you prefer sweet, earthy and nutty flavors over botanicals, Starbies' new toasted coconut syrup and ube menu is exactly what you're looking for. While the company isn't ready to unveil all the details just yet, we do know that its new toasted coconut syrup is being added as a year-round, permanent offer and bringing recipes like the new Toasted Coconut Cream Cold Brew and Toasted Coconut Latte with it. And for a "vibrant twist," Starbucks will soon offer a "bold" and "creamy" Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato.

"The Ube Coconut Macchiato sounds amazing," someone else cheered.
"Did you say Ube? 👀💜," another teased .
The coconut-flavored bevs also saw a lot of love, heart-eye emojis and excitement. "Coconut cold brew 😍," one gushed.
As for the new Frog Cake Pop, it starts with vanilla cake mixed with buttercream, then dipped in green chocolatey icing and decorated to look like a frog and fans think it's "adorable."

All of the above and maybe more, if fans are lucky (this is just a preview, after all), will be available at Starbucks locations nationwide beginning Tuesday, March 3.
