Sweet Golden Retriever Sleeps Through All His Alarms and Has Zero Regrets
- Bruce, a Golden Retriever, refuses to get out of bed despite multiple attempts by his owner to wake him up.
Sometimes, no matter what you do, you just can’t bring yourself to get out of bed. We all know that sleep is a fundamental part of life—and honestly, if you ever have trouble sleeping, you should talk to Bruce, a super laid-back Golden Retriever who has napping down to a science .
His mom recently shared an Instagram post featuring a snoozing Bruce, and let’s just say, my pups have nothing on this sweet boy. Mom broaches the subject of getting up, saying, “Brucie? Do you want to get up?” Let’s just say his response—or lack thereof—spoke volumes. But Mom wasn’t deterred.
“It’s 9:00 a.m., honey.” And this pup’s game is so strong, he doesn’t even flinch. In fact, he barely raises an eyebrow. “Do you wanna maybe get up? We could go for a walk!” I thought this would be the moment he caved and went for a walk , but apparently, the comfy pillows and warm comforter refused to release him from their grip!
Will This Sweet Pup Ever Wake Up?
In one final attempt, Mom says, “I could maybe get you breakfast?”—and still nothing! His paws didn’t even twitch! If it weren’t for the slight eyebrow movement at the mention of a walk, we’d have to question whether the Golden Retriever was even awake. One commenter is on board with @san_diego_bruce, saying, “I want to be Bruce, and I would like some breakfast!”

It’s clear that Bruce is simply exhausted from being such a good boy. As one fan put it, “It's very tiring to be so handsome!”
If I’m being completely honest, I think Bruce is my spirit animal. This is me every Saturday and Sunday: “No, I don’t want to go for a walk, and no, I don’t want breakfast either!” I just wish I could get my pups on board with this cozy, lazy morning lifestyle!
