Sweet and salty clash at The Big E to create Dr. Pickle, a pickle juice and soda drink
A sweet and briny unlikely pairing may be just what the doctor ordered at The Big E .
Dubbed as Dr. Pickle, the drink is a simple mixture of pickle juice, Dr. Pepper and whole lot of ice. The drink is topped with pickle chips and a pickle skewer for garnish.
For $10 a drink, you can try it for yourself at the Veggie Patch stand on Commonwealth Avenue.
“I spent about 10 minutes sipping on this thing and it kept scrambling my brain. It tasted heavily of Dr. Pepper with a background flavor of brine. Someone went through the work of making a graphic for this drink. I’m so confused,” MassLive’s Nick O’Malley previously said .
The Big E comes to a close Sunday after running for more than two weeks in West Springfield, leaving a couple days left to try the polarizing drink for yourself.
