I Tried Every Flavor of Chobani Coffee Creamer To Find the Best One for Your Morning Brew
- Chobani offers a variety of coffee creamer flavors made with real milk, cane sugar, and natural flavors, providing a creamy and flavorful addition to your morning coffee.
I’m the type of person who prefers for my morning cup of coffee to taste as close to a scoop of coffee ice cream as possible. I want it to be milky and sweet—and bonus points if I can make it taste like one of my favorite coffeehouse lattes without ever having to leave the house.
Chobani's coffee creamers have seriously changed the game when it comes to flavoring your morning (or afternoon) coffee. With their use of real milk, creamy consistency and variety of seasonal flavors, these creamers make it easy to transform a mug of black coffee into a delicious beverage.
My friend introduced me to Chobani’s Sweet Cream coffee creamer several years ago and I was an instant fan, but for some reason, I never branched out to try any of their other flavors. But with nearly a dozen offerings—some mainstays, some more limited-edition flavors—I thought it would be fun to taste each of the creamers side by side to find the best Chobani creamer.
It’s important to note that flavored coffee can be, and often is, subjective. That said, regardless of my personal flavor preferences, I tasted each creamer with the same set of questions in mind. Was it too sweet or not sweet enough? Were the flavor notes (caramel, vanilla, peppermint mocha) prominent both on their own and when mixed into a cup of coffee? Did it have an odd odor or weird aftertaste?
After tasting every available flavor of Chobani creamer, I determined which ones are worth buying and which you should leave behind. Before you brew your next cup of coffee, read on for my ranking.

What Are Chobani Coffee Creamers?
Chobani coffee creamers are an alternative to other popular coffee creamers that have been on the market for decades. Made by the brand that's best known for its collection of flavored Greek yogurts , these creamers are made with minimal ingredients, which include “farm-fresh cream, real milk, cane sugar and natural flavors,” according to the brand.
Available in a variety of flavors inspired by coffeehouse beverages and other sweet treats, you only need to add a tablespoon or two of creamer to your coffee to make it milky and flavorful.
How Many Chobani Creamer Flavors Are There?
I tried the current 11-flavor Chobani creamer lineup: Caramel Macchiato, Cinnamon Coffee Cake, Cookie Butter, Cookie Dough, Hazelnut, Peppermint Mocha, Salted Caramel Zero Sugar, Sweet Cream, Sweet Cream Zero Sugar, Vanilla and White Chocolate Mocha.
Previously, Chobani sold other seasonal flavors, including Birthday Cake, Pumpkin Spice and White Chocolate Raspberry, which may still be available in grocery stores (depending on the time of year). In 2022, the brand also introduced plant-based versions of their popular creamers, including Caramel Macchiato, Chocolate Hazelnut, French Vanilla and Sweet and Creamy, but those have since been discontinued.

How I Tested These Creamers
Because these creamers are available in so many different flavors, I refrained from the usual blind taste test that I often conduct during these side-by-side comparisons. Instead, I wanted to consider if the promised flavor matched the taste and aroma inside the carton—or if, say, a caramel macchiato lover would be disappointed by the brand’s creamer.
I first tasted each creamer on its own and made notes of the flavor, aroma and aftertaste. I then added 1 tablespoon of each creamer (the recommended serving size) to a glass of black iced coffee and noted how the flavor changed, if at all, when mixed with coffee. I used the same brand of bottled black iced coffee each time so that the only variable was the creamer itself. Read on for my ranking and tasting notes.

11. Chobani Sweet Cream Zero Sugar Coffee Creamer
I understand that a zero-sugar coffee creamer would be appealing to some consumers and this one definitely deserves praise for being produced without tons of artificial ingredients. It gets its sweetness from stevia extract, which is a natural derivative of the stevia plant. However, this was one of the few Chobani creamers that I thought tasted extremely artificially sweet with a particularly harsh aftertaste. It was also less creamy than most of the other creamers, which yielded a less delicious cup of coffee. Unless you really want a coffee creamer that's made with a natural alternative to cane sugar, I would skip this one.

10. Chobani Salted Caramel Zero Sugar Coffee Creamer
This sugar-free Salted Caramel creamer was better than its Sweet Cream relative, thanks to the subtle caramel notes. However, it still suffered from the same issues as the other zero-sugar version. The consistency wasn’t as creamy as other creamers and the aftertaste made me feel like I had dumped an entire packet of Stevia down my throat.
9. Chobani Caramel Macchiato Coffee Creamer
I was disappointed in Chobani’s take on this classic latte creation. The flavor was underwhelming, not sweet and didn’t have any punchy caramel notes. I also thought that it both smelled and tasted burnt, which I can only assume was the brand’s attempt at creating a “natural” caramelized flavor. I missed the duo of caramel and vanilla flavors that you get in a handmade caramel macchiato and I think that fans of the beverage would be too.

8. Chobani Cookie ButterCoffee Creamer
The first thing I noted about this coffee creamer was that it smelled a little odd, but if I really, really thought about it, maybe it tasted like a jar of cookie butter. Or rather, a carton of coffee creamer that sat next to a jar of cookie butter on the shelf. It did have a nice, thick, creamy texture, as well as subtle spiced notes that were vaguely reminiscent of a Biscoff or speculoos cookie. However, I found this one to be too mild in flavor and left me wanting more.
7. Chobani VanillaCoffee Creamer
I was underwhelmed by Chobani’s vanilla-flavored creamer, which was also surprisingly mild. On its own, it tasted a lot like marshmallows, and I found that the vanilla flavors were more prominent in the brand’s Sweet Cream creamer. The vanilla-marshmallow notes were even more mellow when mixed with black iced coffee. This one isn’t bad, but I feel like there are more delicious options for your morning coffee.

6. Chobani White Chocolate Mocha Coffee Creamer
There’s nothing wrong with this creamer, but I wasn’t getting much in the way of white chocolate or mocha notes. It tasted milky, sweet and rich—so much so that I actually enjoyed it even more than the brand’s vanilla-flavored creamer. However, I was definitely missing those signature chocolate notes that distinguish this flavor combo from other more neutral coffee creamers.
5. Chobani Cookie Dough Coffee Creamer
If you prefer for your coffee to taste like a warm, freshly baked chocolate chip cookie , this creamer is for you. Visually, it looked a lot like chocolate milk and I was surprised by just how chocolatey it tasted. Some cookie dough flavors lean into the buttery richness of raw cookie dough, but this heads in a melted chocolate chip direction. Yum! It’s super creamy and delicious, but just a bit much to enjoy every day, which is why it didn't rank at the top.

4. Chobani Hazelnut Coffee Creamer
Before there were over-the-top coffeehouse creations, hazelnut was one of the mainstay flavors (alongside vanilla and caramel). Chobani’s flavored creamer has a rich and nutty aroma, but isn’t distinctly hazelnut-y. It’s not too sweet but boasts a nice hazelnut flavor that reminded me of a Ferrero Rocher candy. However, it wasn’t as creamy as some of the other creamers that I tasted and I could see some hazelnut lovers wishing for even more flavor, which is why it didn’t land higher in the list.
3. Chobani Peppermint Mocha Coffee Creamer
Get your hands on this limited edition seasonal flavor while you can. If you love sipping on a peppermint mocha latte as soon as the calendar changes to December (if not before), then you’ll love Chobani’s take on this flavor. It tastes perfectly minty without being too pepperminty or too sweet. I placed it at #3 because peppermint isn't everyone’s cup of tea (err, coffee), but it’s about as good a rendition of the flavor as you can get.

2. Chobani Cinnamon Coffee Cake Coffee Creamer
Going into this tasting, I was concerned that the flavored creamers were going to have an artificial taste with a cloying sweetness and I was pleasantly surprised by how few did. But I think the best version of Chobani’s dessert-inspired creamers is their Cinnamon Coffee Cake flavor. It smells exactly like the spiced quick bread and is just sweet enough with nice toasted cinnamon notes. It’s a bit buttery without being too rich and is absolutely a flavor that would enhance my morning mug.
1. Chobani Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer
If you could only buy one Chobani creamer, let it be their Sweet Cream flavor. Unlike its sugar-free version that came in at the bottom of the list, this is your all-purpose, versatile coffee creamer that will make either a hot or iced coffee perfectly sweet and milky.
On its own, it tastes similar to vanilla ice cream or a glazed donut. But once stirred into coffee, it balances the drink's robust, bitter notes with its milky sweetness. You could add additional syrups or sweeteners, depending on your flavor preferences, but I don’t think it’s necessary with a tablespoon (or two) of this creamer.
