  • ZIPAIR Tokyo is currently operating historic non-stop charter flights between Tokyo Narita and Orlando International Airport, making it easier for Disney fans to visit both Tokyo Disney Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.

For a certain segment of the Disney community, the "Holy Grail" of fandom is the ability to visit both the Walt Disney World Resortin Floridaand the legendary Tokyo Disney Resortin Japan. Until now, that journey required grueling layovers and a massive time commitment. But as of the past few weeks, that dream is officially a non-stop reality.

ZIPAIR Tokyo , the budget carrier arm of Japan Airlines, is currently mid-operation on its historic first series of non-stop charter flights between Tokyo Narita and Orlando International Airport. It’s a milestone that travel experts and Disney fans have been anticipating for years: the first direct bridge between two of the world's most popular theme park capitals.

"We are thrilled and excited that the long-awaited dream of direct flights from Japan to Orlando, Florida—a dream shared by us and Disney fans across Japan—is finally becoming a reality," said Tomoko Sawada, Director of Marketing & Business Strategy for Disney Destination International.

While this inaugural run consists of four specific round-trip dates through March 10, the impact is already being felt. For the first time, fans can wake up in the shadow of Mount Prometheusat Tokyo DisneySeaand, just a few movies and a nap later, find themselves walking down Main Street, U.S.A.in Florida.

To sweeten the deal for this first wave of "global park hoppers," Disney is pulling out all the stops. Those on the ZIPAIR flights are receiving exclusive perks, including special character greetings and a private, dessert-filled viewing of Epcot's night show, Luminous: The Symphony of Us .

As Shingo Nishida, President of ZIPAIR Tokyo, noted: "We certainly look forward to welcoming Disney fans and guests on our charter flights... [experiencing] ZIPAIR's new standard in air travel."
