Venus Williams and Andrea Preti celebrated their love over the course of two weddings: one in Italy and another in Florida. Now, the pair is reminiscing about their celebrations.
The Italian wedding was a nod to Preti's home country, but also how they met one another.
“It was so special to have the ceremony in Andrea’s home country, and it meant even more to us because we met at Milan Fashion Week,” she told People . “It was so much more than a beautiful setting, it was where everything started for us, so it felt incredibly natural and right to celebrate our love there.”
The first wedding took place on Sept. 18 in Ischia, Italy.
Preti is from Italy, but since Williams is not, they told People at the time that that's why they decided to have a second wedding. “We had this dream to do our wedding in Italy, but we didn’t have enough time to do the paperwork — because I’m a foreigner, it can take about eight months. So we decided to have a second wedding."
As for their second wedding, it took place in Palm Beach which Williams described as a different experience from the wedding in Italy.
“The most meaningful part for me was simply being able to celebrate with the people we love,” Williams explained of the wedding that took place on December 19, 2025. “We were really intentional about creating an experience for our guests, something that felt special from start to finish. Every event leading up to the wedding day was designed to bring people together in a thoughtful way.”
Williams and Preti had a five-day celebration in Palm Beach, which was attended by the athlete's sister, Serena Williams.
She continues: "One of my favorite moments was our sports day, it added a fun, lighthearted energy, and a little friendly competition made it even more memorable."
Preti and Williams were first romantically linked in July 2024. The couple got engaged in Tuscany, Italy in January 2025, which was followed by their two wedding celebrations.
The businessman and actor told The Knot that getting the marriage license in Florida made him very emotional.
“The emotions I had inside were fireworks—'Yeah, we made it. You know, we are here today. Now let's start, start our new journey together.' Sometimes I cannot talk. I release my emotions. I cry, but I cry with joy, yes. I always wanted to have a family,” he said.
