Have you ever wanted a twin? Someone who looks like you, makes the same facial expressions, and wears the same clothes? Most people aren’t lucky enough to have that Mary Kate and Ashley bond with an actual twin, which is probably why it’s so much fun to twin with our kids.
There’s a reason Barbie dolls come with so many clothes — dressing them up is the best part. And when we become moms, we get the same joy from putting our babies in the cutest clothes. (Tiny suspenders! Frilly dresses! The tiniest shoes you’ve ever seen! It’s all so great.) But nothing is more fun than wearing matching clothes with your mini-me. Many celebrity moms feel the same way, which is why they can’t stop twinning with their little ones and taking the most precious photos to remember their matching moments.
Serena Williams’ daughter Olympia is pretty much a clone of her mom , and they’ve worn the most amazingly chic matching outfits both at home and on the red carpet. Kim Kardashian has matched with all four of her kids at once (impressive, right?), and even Kate Middleton wore matching blue dresses with her daughter, Princess Charlotte. Kate Hudson matched with both her daughter and her mom, proving that mommy-and-me looks can span generations. And, of course, you can’t even tell Reese Witherspoon and her daughter Ava apart when they’re in matching clothes.

Mom of four Kourtney Kardashian Barker loves matching with her kids — especially her daughter Penelope. The doting mom shared a photo of herself and “P” wearing matching smiley face pajamas for the little girl’s 10th birthday in July 2022, and they also wore coordinating neutral-toned outfits, each wearing a trenchcoat , in December 2021.
Patrick Mahomes & Brittany Mahomes
Brittany Mahomes and mini-me daughter, Sterling Mahomes , don matching outfits all the time, and the mom of two frequently shares their sweet fashion moments on her Instagram. The girls wore coordinating ensembles at a 2022 Kansas City Chiefs game in support of NFL star, husband, and father Patrick Mahomes, and they looked sweet in matching blue and yellow outfits for a campaign with Vitality in the fall of the same year.
The couple also share kids Bronze and Golden Mahomes, and the whole family is decked out in Kansas City Chiefs gear or general football merch on Game Day. And even when the First Family of Football’s outfits don’t match, you know they each have their perfectly curled hair on display.
Serena Williams
If matching was an Olympic sport, Serena Williams would win the gold. She matches with daughter Olympia, whom she shares with husband Alexis Ohanian, all the time. They wore matching black dresses and bling at the King Richard premiere in 2021 , and she posts twinning moments on Instagram pretty often, including this cute video of the two in matching mini dresses.
They even took their twinning game to a whole new level when they helped design a limited-edition Janie and Jack collection and rocked preppy Mommy and Me looks. Even Williams’ second daughter Adira got in on the fun!
Hilary Duff
Hilary Duff loves matching with her kids — son Luca, whom she shares with ex Mike Comrie, and daughters Banks, Mae, and Townes with husband Matthew Koma. In 2019, the actress posted a picture of her and Luca dressed in coordinating cowboy hats and button-down shirts for her son’s “glamping trip.” That same year, she also posted a picture of her and Banks “getting cozzzzzy!” in matching light pink jumpsuits. And in 2022 for Easter, she wore a coordinating green sundress to match her girls , who were wearing matching bunny-print sundresses.
Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian seems to live by the “go big or go home” motto, so it’s no surprise that she frequently matches with all four of her kids. For example, the SKIMS founder twinned with North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm on Easter 2022, posting a picture to Instagram showing the five of them wearing matching pajamas for the holiday. Twinning in cute jammies seems to be a tradition, as Kim also wore identical pink heart pajamas with North in a picture posted in February 2022.
For Christmas 2021, the Kardashians wore matching maroon outfits , and for Christmas 2022, Kim dressed herself and her kids in coordinating cool-toned metallic looks . Of course, Kim likes matching on non-holiday times, too, like when she wore all-black with Saint last September, or when she wore matching swimsuits with Chicago in April 2021.
Reese Witherspoon
Reese Witherspoon’s daughter Ava (pictured), whom she shares with ex Ryan Phillippe, could pass as her twin sister — especially when they dress alike. In December 2020, the mom of three posted that she “had to beg” her daughter to wear a matching holiday sweater , and they look so cute with matching red lips and coffee mugs, too.
Later the same month, the actress and producer posted a photo of her, Ava, son Deacon (also with Phillippe), and son Tennessee (with Jim Toth), in matching velvet green jumpsuits . She’s also worn white with Deacon , rocked identical red plaid masks with Ava, and even matched with her niece , Abby James, in a pink floral print from her clothing line, Draper James.
Gabrielle Union
She may have a reputation as Shady Baby (IYKYK), but Gabrielle Union’s daughter Kaavia James (pictured) is so sweet when matching with her mom. The actress often posts twinning moments between the two, like when they wore matching black-and-white outfits for the Cheaper By The Dozen premiere and when they dressed in coordinating Ivy Park outfits with Union’s step-daughter, Zaya Wade .
Kate Middleton
sKate Middleton often color coordinates with her family for pictures, but on Easter Sunday in 2022, Princess Charlotte looked just like her twin! They were both wearing powder blue dresses with blue ribbons in their hair for the service at Windsor Castle (and Princes William and George also matched in dark blue suits!).
The Wales’ also coordinate outfits for their Christmas cards every year — 2022’s was a matching denim moment , 2021’s involved a coordinating green- and blue-toned ensemble , and 2020 saw the family of five matching in sweaters .

The actress posted a photo all dressed up in matching gowns with Rani for International Women’s Day last March, and in December 2021, the actress and Rani were wearing identical white fur coats . Stormi Webster (pictured) loves matching with her mom, Kylie Jenner. The Kylie Cosmetics founder, who shares her daughter and son Aire with ex Travis Scott, often posts twinning pictures with her mini-me. For Christmas 2022, the two wore matching Mugler gowns — Kylie also twinned with mom Kris Jenner in matching plaid pajamas for the holiday.
Kylie and Stormi’s matching moments go beyond the holidays — in June 2022, the girls wore coordinating green and pink looks during a shopping spree at Ulta, and in May 2021, they donned colorful striped bikinis while sitting in a pool. The mom of two also shared a close-up of Scott and Baby Webster wearing matching Nike sneakers for Father’s Day in 2022, proving the whole family is in on twinning.

Ciara often matches with her kids — sons Future and Win and daughters Sienna and Amora — like when they all wore orange in support of NFL player and husband Russell Wilson becoming a Bronco in 2022.
