Costco coffee drinkers, listen up!

According to shoppers on Reddit , the Kirkland Signature 100% Colombian Coffee has undergone a major product change.

"Is the Kirkland coffee no longer 100% Colombian?" one user started the thread, adding, "I saw these cans of Kirkland Colombian coffee at my local warehouse today, all mentions of '100%' have been removed from the outer packaging, as well as the boxes."

Immediately, fans started debating whether or not the change really affects the quality of the product.

"Note that this year's coffee harvest has been brutally bad. Coffee was already going up in price due to harvest issues. Tariffs are making this exponentially worse. The roaster is likely doing a blend of 'anything it can get its hands on' to try to make the price steady or not increase as much since Costco definitely doesn't like increasing prices on their own brand name products," one user replied.

"Also, I wouldn't really worry about the 'quality' of it if it's not 100% Colombian. That's more of a marketing gimmick anyway," they argued. "Dark roasts are generally what are in most mass market products due to the fact they are much more forgiving when users over or under extract the coffee."

A second shopper made a similar point: "All this means is that some of it isn't from Colombia anymore. 100% Colombian is marketing fluff. In reality, it doesn't matter that the coffee is Colombian. Amazing coffee also comes from Ethiopia, Kenya, Brazil, and Uganda. So you're right, but also don't worry. It's unlikely you will notice any change."

However, a third user claimed they could taste a difference, "I thought I was going crazy, but I did notice a change in flavor a few weeks back."

In response, a fourth shopper joked, "If you're buying giant tins of pre-ground coffee, do you really care where it came from?"
