  • Duchess Sophie represented King Charles as the Reviewing Officer at the Sovereign’s Parade at Sandhurst Royal Military Academy, wearing a pastel-blue Kalonice Wrap Coat Dress by Emilia Wickstead and a matching fascinator by Jane Taylor.

While  King Charles  and  Queen Camilla marked their 20th wedding anniversary with a royal tour of Italy, the king's sister-in-law, Duchess Sophie , stepped up to represent the monarch at a special event in Camberley, England.

Last week, the 60-year-old duchess attended the Sovereign's Parade at Sandhurst Royal Military Academy and represented King Charles as the Reviewing Officer. For the occasion, she donned a pastel-blue Kalonice Wrap Coat Dress by Emilia Wickstead, completing the look with a matching fascinator by Jane Taylor, a pair of Prada heels in pastel blue and a Sophie Habsburg Ginny clutch.

Naturally, the royal stole the show as she inspected troops ahead of the parade, but I couldn't help but notice the striking similarity between her outfit and Princess Catherine 's blue ensemble from the Order of the Garter at St George's Chapel in 2022.

At the time, she donned a blue coat dress by Alexander McQueen and paired the look with a matching  brimmed floral hat , courtesy of Juliette Botterill Millinery. She also accessorized with a blue diamond necklace and earring set by G. Collins & Sons.

This isn't the first time I've seen the duchess take a page from Kate Middleton's stylebook. When the king's sister-in-law visited the Yellow Labrador Club at The York Club in Windsor, she stepped out in a top with a French-inspired Breton stripe—and the way she wore it immediately reminded me of Middleton, considering that it's one of her wardrobe staples . For the occasion, Sophie opted for a beige wool-blend blazer, chic trousers and Gianvito Rossi ankle boots.

As for the recent Sovereign's Parade, Sophie was all smiles as she inspected the Officer Cadets, who completed 44 weeks of training. This coincided with a historic moment that involved Sandhurst's first all-female Banner Party . The trio included Company Sergeant Major Brunton of the Royal Army Medical Service (RAMS), Staff Sergeant Lewis of the Royal Army Veterinary Corps and Staff Sergeant Bradley from the RAMS.

Something tells me this won't be the last time I see the duchess step out with a chic, Kate-inspired look.
