Fans Say International KFC and OREO Collab Is 'Playing' With Their 'Emotions'
- KFC has an Oreo collaboration featuring a "Kentucky Fried Oreo" that is only available in South Africa, leaving fans in the United States disappointed.
In the immortal words of The Rolling Stones, you can't always get what you want.
But that doesn't mean you can't make a fuss about it, and that's what fast food fans are doing on social media ever since they found out that KFC has an Oreo collaboration that is not available in the United States.
On April 3, popular food blogger Snackolator shared an image of a "Kentucky Fried Oreo," a menu item that is only available in South Africa.
"You get the deep fried OREO cookies with vanilla soft serve, fudge, and sprinkles," the influencer wrote before lamenting that the carnival-inspired sweet treat is not on menus in the United States. "KFC is just playing with my emotions," he said.
Fans shared the sentiment, taking to the comments to write, "How do they fry an Oreo in South Africa before they do it in America? I don't understand this world sometimes."
Others were on the same page, commenting, "I really want to try it now I wish they were in the United States," and "They seriously don't give the US anything good."
One fan seemed confused as to why the dessert isn't on American menus and asked, "Why not just make them at home and do the same thing?"
