If you go to the grocery store to buy honey , chances are high that the golden sweetener will be sold in a plastic bottle shaped like a bear. The honey bear bottle is not only cute and iconic, but it's also easy to use. Just squeeze that tummy and you're presented with delicious honey— Winnie the Pooh 's wildest dreams!

When you've used up most of the bottle, though, you're presented with a different story. Invariably, there's a small layer of honey in the bottom that refuses to trickle out, even when the bottle is flipped upside down. And that's where TikTok comes in. How Does the Honey Container Coffee Trick Work?

This nifty trick comes from TikTok content creator @riyalovestacobell , who says she is "forever doing this with my honey bottles." By "this," she means filling a honey container with hot espresso so she can use up every last drop of honey and make a fun DIY iced coffee drink.

When you pour hot coffee directly into the honey bear and give it a good shake, the heat loosens all of the sticky goodness and melts it into the coffee , meaning absolutely nothing goes to waste.

Not only does it feel good to use up everything in the honey container without painful squeezing, but this trick also provides you with a perfectly sweetened honey coffee —and, you don't have to stir in the honey yourself, which can also be a messy hassle. Win win!

"You're the smartest person alive," wrote one commenter on Riya's video. "I'm so excited to run out of honey," another person commented. "Also, the latte being in the cute bottle makes it 10 times better," said another fan of the hack. A different person had the great idea of making salad dressing with the remains of the honey bottle and called it "my favorite thing ever."

How to Make a Honey Container Iced Coffee

I just happened to have an almost-empty honey bear in my kitchen, so I decided to give this trick a try.

To make it, I brewed a cup of coffee, then unscrewed the lid of the container and slowly poured in the coffee. I screwed the lid back on, closed the cap and shook the container vigorously. As the honey lifted off the bottom of the container, it dissolved into the coffee.

When the honey was fully mixed into the coffee, I filled the container with milk and ice and gave the drink a stir with a metal straw. I was so impressed by how well the honey got picked up from every nook and cranny of the container. After one sip, I went whoa! The coffee was perfectly fruity and sweet with the flavor of honey. I, too, am so excited for the next time I run out of honey so I can make this drink again.
