Haribo Launches First-Ever New Flavor of Popular Candy Just for the Summer

Haribo is introducing two new "fresh and exciting" flavors of its most popular candies, one of which is getting a spin-off variety for the first time.

The iconic candy brand is really springing into action this season as it only revealed last week that it will be debuting a global favorite confection in the U.S. Now, Parade has learned it's giving two more beloved gummy candies their own twin .

Haribo's Twin Snakes and Goldbears are getting a limited-edition makeover for summer 2025, releasing a new tropical flavor variety featuring "beachy flavors that deliver a taste of paradise in every chew," according to a statement from the brand.

Like the original Twin Snakes, this seasonal addition offers the "best of both worlds," combining a sweet snake and a sour snake in one that fans can choose to eat together or pull apart. Instead of the classic Cherry & Orange, Apple & Lemon, and Blueberry & Blackcurrant snake duos, this new medley introduces new flavors like Sweet Mango & Sour Lime, Sweet Paradise Punch & Sour Pineapple, Sweet Passion Fruit & Sour Tangerine.

Goldbears Tropical also reimagines the classic treat with a new "island-inspired lineup that includes tangy Kiwi, sweet Paradise Punch and exotic Passion Fruit," alongside returning favorite Haribo's Pineapple.

Parade got an early preview of both the new treats and can confirm that they take all the features fans know and love about the originals—bouncy texture and vibrant flavors—and give them a refreshing, fruity-forward twist.

"We know our fans will always love the classic HARIBO Goldbears flavors, but we want to bring them childlike happiness in fresh and exciting ways too,"  Seth Klugherz, vice president of marketing at HARIBO of America, said in a statement. "Tropical flavors bring that sense of fun that our brand is known for, and with 35% of US consumers saying they're more likely to try a candy if it has tropical flavors, we knew this was the perfect moment to introduce a vibrant and playful twist to our fan-favorite treats."

Individual packages of Haribo's new tropical gummies will be available nationwide in standard (4 oz) bags and share size (ranges from 8 oz to 9 oz depending on variety) at retailers that usually stock its treats, such as CVS, Walmart, Target, Walgreens, Five Below, and Dollar General, as well as via Amazon in the coming weeks.
