Michael Strahan's Absence From 'Good Morning America' Explained

Michael Strahan will reportedly be missing from Good Morning America for another week. 

The morning show co-anchor has recently sparked concern over a lengthy absence from his usual hosting duties on the ABC News show, which he hasn't appeared on since Oct. 26. 

While fans and viewers at home have been left to wonder where Strahan, 51, has been, a spokesperson from the network spoke out to share that the TV personality currently has some issues going on in his personal life

"Michael Strahan will not be with us this week as he is dealing with some personal family matters," the spokesperson said in a statement to the Los Angeles Times . "We appreciate everyone's thoughts and concerns." 

Strahan usually hosts the morning program alongside fellow  GMA cast members including Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Lara Spencerand Ginger Zee. In the wake of his absence,  Nightline  co-anchor Juju Changand World News Tonight 's Sunday host Lindsey Davishave been standing in for Strahan. 

The former NFL player has also missed two weeks of Fox's NFL Sunday , where he normally serves as an analyst for game-day coverage. 

Strahan also hasn't posted on social media since Oct. 25, and fans have been flocking to his most recent posts to express their concerns over his absence.

"Where are you? Haven't seen you on GMA or Fox football," one of his followers asked, while another added, "Hope you are okay Stray!! Miss you on NFLonFOX." 

Someone else chimed in to tell Strahan, "miss you on gma and NFL. Praying 🙏🏾 you and your family is ok."
