New MoonPie Flavor Is Causing a Commotion Online

The fan-favorite treat, known for its chocolate-coated graham cracker and marshmallow cream sandwiches, has recently released an all-new variety that's just begun popping up on shelves and exciting snackers all over the country.

MoonPie's new Birthday Party Pie Minis offer a slightly different take on the nostalgic treat than fans may expect as the new recipe takes two vanilla-flavored cookies and sandwiches them with a fluffy sweet cream that is then coated in a birthday cake-style rainbow sprinkle topping, according to an official description.
So far, the new treats have been spotted at several stores including Walmart , Publix , and even some Cracker Barrel locations.

"Walmart came thru with a few goodies today 🙌," food blogger KDSnackFinds cheered alongside a April 21 Instagram upload showcasing a massive display of the MoonPie Birthday Party Pie Minis.
"Moon pies😍," another gushed.
A third said they "look amazing."
"That moon pie flavor is so over due !" one more declared.
Should your local grocery store not carry the variety yet, fans can also find individually wrapped packages of 10 on the official MoonPie webstore for $4.99 , which also offers lemon , mint , blueberry , strawberry , salted caramel , vanilla and banana-flavored mini MoonPies .
