American travelers looking to escape to the Island of Enchantment need not worry about packing their passport since Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory. 

"U.S. citizens don't need a passport, an international phone plan or any currency exchange in Puerto Rico, making it seamless and hassle-free to visit the Island," Brad Dean, CEO of Discover Puerto Rico , tells Parade
