You will find taco shells instead of oyster shells on the menu of a renowned seafood restaurant in Boston for a limited time this spring.

Summer Shack in Back Bay is transforming into a Mexican food pop-up by hosting El Barco starting April 18.

El Barco is a popular Mexican Restaurant on Martha's Vineyard that opened last season in Vineyard Haven.

The restaurant serves an array of authentic Mexican cuisine, including flautas, tacos, burritos and churros. Guests order food at a stand and are alerted by a buzzer when their order is ready. El Barco has a salsa bar where diners can load up on sauces before bringing their trays to their tables.

Drink options include regular and frozen margaritas and authentic Mexican beer, tequila/mezcal and non-alcoholic beverages.

El Barco will occupy Summer Shack's space indefinitely. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to at least midnight daily and is located at 50 Dalton St. in Boston.
