Sonic Debuts ‘Innovative’ Summer Drink Menu Developed by ‘Flavor Experts’
- Sonic Drive-In introduces six new summer drinks, including Classic Cruiser, Twisted Flamingo, and Paradise Sunset, exclusively available through their app starting July 1.
Sonic Drive-In restaurants are celebrating summer with several refreshing new additions to drink menus.
On Monday, June 24, the company revealed six cool and "innovative" new drinks created by "Sonic Flavor experts" as part of its "Flavorista Favorites" collection are being added to menus at participating locations.
The summertime drink series is set to debut at X Games Ventura 2024 Presented by Sonic on Friday, June 28 and will hit online menus beginning next week, according to a news release .
The new beverage list includes hints of fruity sodas, creamy lemonades and several other bubbly refreshment options–a full lineup of the additions as described by Sonic can be found listed below:

Classic Cruiser: The timeless taste of cola combined with a sweet hint of cherry vanilla.

Twisted Flamingo: A refreshing twist of lemon-lime, cherry vanilla and sweet cream.

Paradise Sunset: A bubbly drink with a citrusy burst of blood orange and real strawberries that whisks you away to paradise.

Rainbow Slush: A rainbow-inspired slush with blue raspberry, real strawberries and lemonade that's as colorful as it is delicious.

Lemonade Cream Cooler: A tangy lemonade slush blended with sweet, creamy soft serve.

Grape Escape: A bubbly mix of grape and lime that creates the perfect flavor escape.

There is one catch, though. The limited-edition drinks can only be ordered using the fan-favorite fast food chain's app starting Monday, July 1, so if you don't have it already, you may want to consider downloading it.
"As the trailblazers of drink customization, our new app-exclusive lineup, Flavorista Favorites, offers something special for every taste – whether it's sweet, tangy, creamy or citrusy," Mackenzie Gibson, VP of culinary and menu innovation at SONIC, said in a statement. "We're unveiling these flavors at X Games Ventura Presented by SONIC this summer because the X Games embody the spirit of living free and escaping monotony, just as our drinks do for our fans. Previously, the number of ready-to-order drink combinations on our menu was limited to only a few SONIC signature drinks like Cherry Limeade and Ocean Water®, but now with these new ready-to-order options, it's easier than ever to enjoy the bold flavors at SONIC with just the push of a button!"
The summer refresh doesn't stop at its drink menu, as Sonic announced a few weeks back that one of its most popular menu sides would also be getting a bit of glow-up as Groovy Fries and Groovy Sauce .
