This Sonic Ocean Water Copycat Recipe 'Tastes Like Vacation'
- Sonic is a drive-up fast-food restaurant known for its large selection of beverages, including the unique and refreshing Sonic Ocean Water.
If you've never been to (or heard of) Sonic, it's a drive-up fast-food restaurant. Their menu consists of a variety of fast-food items such as burgers, breakfast burritos, and fries—you get the picture. But the one thing that I especially like about Sonic is their large selection of beverages. From basic ice tea , frozen slushies and shakes to cool drinks like the Sonic Ocean Water, they've got refreshments covered. This last mention is so unique that I had to come up with a copycat recipe to enjoy it at home whenever the craving hits.

What Is Sonic Ocean Water?
Sonic Ocean Water is a cool and refreshing beverage that's supposed to look like—and remind us of—the ocean. It's not supposed to taste like the ocean, but it does have a beautiful blue color.
My kids and husband love this copycat Ocean Water recipe. Even though it's called Ocean Water, I promise it doesn't taste anything like ocean water. It does resemble the beautiful Caribbean though in its striking color. It's bubbly and sweet, with a hint of coconut flavor, and it tastes like vacation—so it's perfect to make when you're stuck at home and can't take one.
