Starbucks’ Christmas Bakery Menu Is Bringing Cheer This Year—but Not Without Stirring Up a Debate
- Starbucks fans in the U.S. and U.K. are engaged in a friendly debate over which country has the better Christmas bakery menu offerings.
Starbucks is really leaning into the joy of the holidays this year, so much so that it unintentionally stirred up a heated debate online over which market got the "better" menu: the U.S. or the U.K.
On Monday, Nov. 25, food blogger Snackolator shared a graphic of Starbucks' Christmas bakery items available across the pond and then proposed the following question to their over 500,000 Instagram followers: "Do you think the US or the UK got the better Starbucks bakery menu?"

Starbucks fans in the U.S. turned a little green with jealousy, as the chain's overseas locations are serving up several seasonal eats that they say look "so good." Some of the most popular stand-out items are the Christmas Tree Brownie and the Santa Bearista Gingerbread Cookie .
"The Santa Bearista Gingerbread Cookie looks good!" one fan exclaimed.
"Wouldn't even be mad if that bearista got my name wrong on the cup!" a second joked.
"I can't wait to try the Christmas tree brownie😮😮😮😍," someone else admitted.
"But the Christmas tree brownie…" a fourth gushed.
Other limited-time offers reportedly available at participating Starbucks U.K. locations include its Raspberry & Coconut Loaf Cake, Caramel Waffle Muffin , Lemon Sherbet Cake Pop, Red Velvet Loaf Cake, Boston Cream Muffin, a Dulce de Leche Chocolate Cookie and a Polar Bear Cake Pop .
"The muffins sound so good!" another Instagram user declared. Why overseas has better options than the US?!" Similarly, a different top-liked comment asked, "Why is food better in every other country but the US."
"Awwww the UK understood the Holiday assignment 😯," someone else wrote.
"UK is 😍," one more added.
But just as fans in the States wish the company would release its international menu items locally, some customers in the U.K. shared a similar opinion about the coffee giant's domestic exclusives.
"We don't have the sugar cookie drink here in the UK though," one popular comment pointed out. "That sucks😭."
As for Starbucks' U.S. holiday menu this year , well, apparently, customers here at home are more impressed by its limited-edition seasonal tumblers than they are by its menu items , which include the new Cran-Merry Orange Refresher and Salted Pecan Cold Brew, among others.
