  • A viral TikTok video shared a recipe for a no-bake Kool-Aid Pie, which inspired a similar version using Nesquick powder.

Not long ago, I wrote a piece about the easiest pie you can make— a Kool-Aid Pie . It's a fun, no-bake dessert that's quick, easy, and inexpensive to make, requiring just one packet of Kool-Aid drink mix (any flavor), one small can of sweetened condensed milk, one 8-ounce tub of whipped topping and one pre-made graham cracker pie crust.

Content creator @that40yearguy shared the viral pie on  his TikTok account . We were intrigued by the recipe but we also spied something interesting in the comments. @heather_stowe_writer  commented on that video saying that they make a similar pie, but instead of Kool-Aid, they use Nesquick. They said this version tasted just like a Wendy's Chocolate Frosty—and we were immediately intrigued.

How Do You Make No-Bake Nesquick Pie?

I've made the Kool-Aid pie, so I know how easy it is. If all I had to do was swap the Kool-Aid for Nesquick.

In a large mixing bowl, I combined one can of sweetened condensed milk, the tub whipped topping, and one cup of Nesquick powder and stirred until it was well blended, but the mixture turned runny because I stirred it too much. Unfortunately, I had to start over, so let that be a warning! You want the ingredients to be blended, but not over-mixed.

The next time around, I only mixed the Nesquick and condensed milk. Once that was blended, I added the whipped topping and mixed it in without overdoing it.

Once I had the mixture at the right texture (light and fluffy, but not runny), I spooned it into the pre-made graham cracker crust, spreading it out evenly with a spatula. The pie was supposed to be placed in the refrigerator to chill for three hours, but I put it in the freezer for an hour.

Once the pie was set, I drizzled the top with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. I then sliced it and noted that it had stiffened, but it was still lighter than most pies, so there was not a lot of substance to slice into.

What Did I Think of No-Bake Nesquick Pie?

As for the taste? I thought it was exactly like a Wendy's Chocolate Frosty, but my kids said it reminded them of a chocolate Poptart and they absolutely loved this pie! It was so simple and cheap to make, and I can see this becoming a regular dessert in our house.
