  • Taco Bell has introduced new Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupas to its menu, featuring an all-new toasted cheddar shell and a choice of Cantina chicken or grilled steak as protein options.

Taco Bell 's menu has entered its "next evolution," and fans are ready to get their hands on the recently added items.

In an effort to further expand its street-style eats, the fan-favorite Mexican-inspired chain just unveiled some new additions to menus nationwide, including two Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupas.

The new entrée, which it described as "the next evolution of Taco Bell's ode to street-style flavors and ingredients," features an "all-new toasted cheddar shell that packs more crunch, cheese, and sauce" than the average Chalupa. It's filled with onions, cilantro, a brand-new Chile Lime Crema Sauce, and your choice of slow-roasted Cantina chicken or grilled, marinated steak for protein.

"It was delicious," someone else said in part.

"Them chalupas are tiny but mighty," a fourth joked.

"i've never wanted anything more 🤤," another added .

"I expected the toasted cheddar street chalupas to be more like the Cheesy Street Chalupas - they are not. I know this is my own failing but these are way inferior to the Cheesy Street Chalupas from last year," a disappointed fan wrote via Reddit

Still, one "user error" isn't everyone's experience as another chimed in, "I'm kinda with you, but these are still pretty good. The first ones were a 9, these are like an 8. I still love em."

"Dude. I didn't realize there was a difference either. Wow. Thank you!" a third said, adding, "Imma go try them now! 😊."

"honestly i thought these were better," a different social media user shared in part, before someone else similarly agreed, "I thought these were way better."

"I gotta disagree," one more wrote. Had these tonight and thought they were fantastic; as good if not better than the cheesy street chulupas."
