Tyler Perry Signs First-Look Deal with Netflix

Tyler Perry is booked and busy after formalizing a new partnership with Netflix that has him writing, directing and producing feature films for the streamer under a multi-year, first-look deal.

During a conversation earlier this month at Bloomberg Media's Screentime conference, Perry briefly referenced the partnership when queried, saying, "I'll wait for them to announce it. But yeah, Netflix has been an incredible partner to work with, and so is Amazon. It's been really, really, really incredible, and that's all I'll say about it."

Perry also has a four-picture deal signed with Amazon Studios, which was made back in 2022. A documentary about his story will be heading to Prime Video next month .
