A&W Root Beer Fans Are Ready to Go 'All in' on New Limited-Edition Soda Flavor

A new limited-edition flavor of  A&W Root Beer just leaked, and fans are beyond ready to get their hands on a bottle (or two). 

About a week ago, someone got their hands on apparent product images of the soon-to-be-released soda—limited-edition A&W Ice Cream Sundae Root Beer—and shared them to the social media platform Reddit.

Separately, this week, trusted food blogger SodaSeekers seemingly confirmed the validity of the leak with a statement shared on Instagram. 

On Sunday, the influencer  uploaded a picture via Instagram nearly identical to the one uploaded to Reddit. They clarified in the caption that "the product renders seen here were posted to Reddit earlier this month" but that they "have received separate images confirming plans to release this soda in bottle form as well."

In the days since the release was announced, fans have expressed nothing short of high hopes for the innovative new flavor, with one declaring they're "ALL. IN." 

"This gonna be bomb 💣!" a second exclaimed.

"This better taste like the A&W Root beer float beverage that used to come in glass years ago," another top-liked comment quipped. 

Trusted food blogger Snackolator  also endorsed the addition, adding that they hope "it replicates a Root Beer Float in a can with the little extra flavors of fudge and cherries!"

"Don't tempt me with a GOOD TIME!" a fifth joked.

While the soft drink brand has yet to officially announce the product, according to information shared with SodaSeekers, the limited-edition A&W Ice Cream Sundae Root Beer variety is expected sometime in 2025, launching in 12-ounce cans and 20-ounce bottles in both regular and sugar-free versions at retailers that already carry the brand.
