You (Yes, You) Can Make a Snack Stadium in 15 Minutes With Stuff You Have at the House—Here's How
- Snack stadiums can be made at home using cardboard soda boxes, baking pans, and bendy straws, with the field made of sour cream and guacamole.
Super Bowl Sunday is finally here. You've probably got your chips and the avocados for your guacamole and your chicken wings prepped and ready to cook, but did you realize that you still have time to put together a snack stadium?
It's true that snack stadiums can be pretty elaborate, complete with dedicated containers that fit together perfectly or sandwich schematics that would intimidate an engineer. But it's possible to pull together a fun snack centerpiece with things you already have in the house, as proven by a few videos that have been making the rounds on Instagram and TikTok. Here's how you can do it at home.
Over on @thedailynelly , the creators turned cardboard soda boxes, a couple of baking pans and some bendy straws into a shockingly cute snack stadium. They started by cutting the soda boxes in half, unloading the sodas and cutting the sides of the box halves so they resemble stadium seating (check out the video below to see how they did it). They did three box halves on two sides and two box halves on the other two sides, so you'll need a total of five soda boxes (or beer boxes or seltzer boxes).

The "field" is a rimmed baking sheet that's spread with sour cream, then guacamole, though it could be a full layer of guac, if you prefer. They used shredded cheese for the end zones and added sour cream stripes to give the guac turf a legit look. To make sure the field had the prominence it deserves, they placed the rimmed baking sheet on top of an overturned baking pan.
Next up? The most controversial step. In the video, they load up the boxes with all of their snacks—chips and veggies and warm pizza rolls. As you can imagine, many commenters weren't thrilled with that move, and who could blame them? If you try this at home, please line the boxes with foil, parchment or napkins. If you have more time and are the crafty type, you can wrap the boxes entirely like @athomewithshannon did.
Once the snacks and field are in place, you can tape a few straws together to create goal posts. Because the depth of the guacamole field is pretty shallow, they anchored the straw goal posts with an individually wrapped Reese's peanut butter cup. Pile your cans of soda around the perimeter and you're Super Bowl ready!
