"We wanted to create a collection that feels fresh and fun while staying true to our commitment to quality and craftsmanship," Closed co-chief executive officer Gordon Giers, told WWD. "Each piece is thoughtfully designed to be comfortable, versatile and made to last."

Its X-pocket jeans, invented in 1981, remains the star product and it appears in the range with its signature fly label.

Closed was founded in 1978 by Marithé and François Girbaud. The French designers sold the company out of bankruptcy in the early '90s to two Hamburg-based businessmen — Günther Giers and Hans Leplow. In 2001, the company was taken over by Giers' son Gordon and his high school chums Til Nadler and Hans Redlefsen. The three are co-CEOs.

While hinged on denim and casual sportswear for women and men, Closed also makes footwear and accessories.

In 2023, Closed unveiled a new visual identity, tweaking its logo, packaging and color palette, with yellow selected for carrier bags, delivery boxes and some store elements, along with bolder fashion imagery.

Zara has unfurled a range of buzzy collaborations, last year tapping model  Kate Moss , designer Stefan Pilati and Hungarian fashion label Nanushka for high-profile capsules.
