29-year-old man killed in Norwood crash

A 29-year-old man died Wednesday morning after a crash in Norwood on Route 1.

The man's identity is being withheld until his next of kin are notified, according to a joint statement by Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey's Office and Norwood Police Chief Christopher Padden.

The 29-year-old was a driver involved in the crash in the area of Prendergast Circle, officials said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another driver involved, an unidentified 47-year-old man, was taken to a nearby hospital. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, officials said.

The crash is under investigation by Norwood police and Massachusetts State Police.
