7 Brew coffee ‘drops in’ to West Springfield
WEST SPRINGFIELD — Forget dropping in for coffee. It's the new coffee shop that drops in on you.
The new 7 Brew at 895 Riverdale St. arrived earlier this month in four parts, having been manufactured in North Carolina, said franchise holder Manraj Parmar. The parts were trucked to the site, unloaded with a crane and dropped into the parking lot.
"It's just a matter of attaching the utilities and fitting out the interior," he said.
Parmar said he is in the process of hiring 70 workers before an anticipated opening in early November.

Having already opened Connecticut locations in Vernon and Wallingford, he said he learned to staff up with extra help, so he has enough people to navigate those rocky first few weeks.
A group of entrepreneurs founded 7 Brew in 2017 with a location in Arkansas. The chain now has 485 stands.
Parmar said he is in the process of getting a location approved in Hadley, near the Whole Foods location on Route 9.
The stores are drive-thru and walk-up. The goal is to get carloads of thirsty customers served and on their way within five minutes, he said.

7 Brew offers more than 20,000 unique drink combinations including the original Blondie, a caramel and vanilla breve, to 7 Energy, smoothies, shakes and teas.
Parmar's favorite, he said, is a sugar-free blondie with ice.
Prices vary considering the variety, but he estimates the cost of a drink is in line with competitors at about $5 to $6 for a medium.
