Baystate Health sponsors career pathways event for students

HOLYOKE — Baystate Health will be hosting its Healthcare Career Pathways Event, offering high school juniors and seniors, as well as college students, an exclusive opportunity to explore some of today's most in-demand and rewarding health care professions.

The event will be held Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Students will have the chance to meet directly with health care professionals, including nurses, surgical technologists, respiratory therapists, behavioral health counselors and patient care technicians. They will learn what a typical day on the job is like, why the existing professionals chose their field, what education and training are required, and what the outlook for each field is.

Registration is required by Wednesday at forms.gle/JGavvbEQQ8ou7ARPA.

The event will be at the Baystate Health Education Center, 361 Whitney Ave., Holyoke. Free on-site parking is available.
