Boston police seek suspect accused of pinning woman walking down the street against car
Boston police are asking the public to help them identify a suspect who they say pinned a woman who was walking down the street against a car in South Boston early Sunday morning.
The incident happened around 2 a.m. on Aug. 17 near the intersection of Telegraph and Old Harbor Streets, Boston police said in a Thursday press release . The preliminary investigation suggests that the woman was walking up Telegraph Street towards Old Harbor Street when she noticed the suspect following her.
The suspect shouted at the woman to get her attention, rushed towards her and pinned her against a car, police said. He then restrained her arms, trying to restrict her ability to move.
Ultimately, the woman was able to scream and broke free when the suspect became distracted, police said. She then fled to safety.
Police described the suspect as a Hispanic male who was approximately 5-foot-7 in height, had a medium build, tan complexion and a black buzz cut. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and dark clothing.
