A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at 10 a.m.

Earlier this year, an erratic driver crashed into the center's former site at 532 Sumner Ave., causing structural damage. Services including medical and dental offices were temporarily relocated to sister facilities at 1049 Main St. and 1235 Boston Road.

The new Sumner Avenue facility provides:

• adult and pediatric medical care;

• dental services;

• behavioral health support;

• and the Tania M. Barber Learning Institute, which provides paid, on the job training for people pursuing careers in health care.

The center has steadily grown to serve 24 communities since its founding in 1995, providing equitable care for individuals and families through multiple languages, free transportation, and no-cost pharmacy delivery.

"As we open our new facility, we honor our journey of resilience and community partnership," said President and CEO Tania M. Barber. "This new location expands accessible health care, strengthens job training, and reaffirms our promise: to serve our community with compassion, equity, and excellence."

The grand opening included guided tours, and remarks from center leadership and partners.
