Construction worker, 34, falls to death from Salem apartment roof
A 34-year-old man working on a rooftop in Salem fell to his death on Friday, according to the Salem Police Department.
The man, who has not yet been identified, was doing construction work on the roof of a building at 64 Grove St. in Salem at around noon on Friday, police said. The address is listed online as a four-story apartment complex.
At 12:11 p.m., a call that the man had fallen from the rooftop came into the police department. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, the department said.
The circumstances of the incident are still under investigation by the Salem Police Department, along with the Essex County District Attorney's Office and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) staff.
The identity of the man will be released following family notification.
