Deputies make arrest in Solano County child porn investigation

( KRON ) — A man accused of creating and distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) was arrested last week in Solano County, authorities announced Tuesday.

A search warrant served Apr. 23 at a Benicia residence in the 500 block of East North Street uncovered evidence of child pornography, the Solano County Sheriff’s Office said. Deputies arrested 57-year-old Luis Maltez-Morales in connection with the case.

Maltez-Morales was booked into the Solano County Jail for the manufacturing of CSAM, distributing CSAM and the possession of CSAM, according to the sheriff’s office.

The investigation into Maltez-Morales’ alleged involvement remains active, authorities said Tuesday.

“Additional charges or arrests may occur as the case progresses,” wrote the sheriff’s office.
